A trip from Washington DC to New York City by Bus is the best way to see America’s history in action, while also experiencing the nation’s eclectic culture.

The stop at 7th Ave and 36th St. is where you need to get off to see Times Square. This is the heart of the city and the most visited tourist attraction in New York. This part of the city, especially the five blocks that stretch from West 42nd Street to West 47th are always abuzz with excitement! If you will be around the area at night, you will love all the lights and sounds that make this “the city that never sleeps!”

One of the things you should do if you are in NYC on New Year’s Eve is to head to Times Square for the ball drop. This stop is also convenient for those heading to Penn Station which can take you almost anywhere in the city by subway.

We also stop at 6th Avenue which is located on the Lower West Side of New York. Look across the road and you will see the beautiful 101 Avenue of the Americas building. From here you can make your way to SoHo where you can shop till you drop, sit at a café and watch the beautiful people pass by, and maybe, just maybe, catch a glimpse of one of the many celebrities that live in the area. Then after, how about dinner at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse? A world-famous restaurant in TriBeca.

In Brooklyn, the bus stops at Bedford Avenue and Empire Boulevard next to Prospect Park. This huge park offers a variety of attractions, including a zoo, a boathouse, a picnic house, and so much more! If you head there in the summer, you may be lucky and catch a concert right in the park. There are also sports facilities that are great for a quick pick up game of soccer or baseball with the locals. You may also consider a visit to the Brooklyn Children’s Museum located in Crown Heights. Founded in 1899, it’s known as the first museum in the world dedicated to children.
